We run shuttles Friday thur Monday. If you are running late or are gonna be late, it's not a big deal. Free to jump on the next available shuttle. We have very comfortable 15 passenger people mover vans.

Relax and Float Back To Your Car

The gentle Yakima River winds through rolling desert hills and basalt cliffs, some rising more than 2,000 feet, your float is around 10-11 miles. Enjoy and have fun. One thing to keep in mind, this is a self-guided floating experience. You are At Your Own Leisure. Float time: 2:45hr - 4hrs.

Float Route Length

Most guests spend approximately 3½ - 4 hours on the river depending on water levels, weather conditions, and how often they stop to relax or swim. Some groups finish faster while others enjoy taking their time.

1 Drive east from Seattle/Bellevue on I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass (~2 hrs).
2 Take Canyon Road south exit from Ellensburg into the scenic canyon corridor.
3 Park in the Roza Campground gravel lot ($5 BLM day-use fee at kiosk).
4 Check in with cash, hand in signed waivers, and board the shuttle upriver!

Everything you need to know before your Yakima River float.

CASH PAYMENT ONLY DUE AT RIVER. Cell coverage in the canyon gorge is poor, so credit card reader terminals do not work reliably. Please draw cash prior to arriving at Roza Campground.
Most floaters spend 2½ to 3½ - 4 hours on the water depending on flow levels, weather, and gravel bar swim stops. Putting in at Lmuma Creek halves the float duration.
Swimming ability is strongly recommended. Every guest receives a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket (mandatory for children 12 and under).
Reservations are highly recommended to secure your shuttle slot and gear. No payment or credit card is required to reserve online today.
Yes! We provide connector ropes and party tether clips with all rentals so your group can float together as an island.
Yes, we are 100% dog-friendly! You can rent a $15 heavy-duty cargo tube so your dog gets their own floating spot.
